Mt Whitney Pendant
The first time I saw Mt. Whitney was from the west side. We had just finished passing through the bottom half of the John Muir Trail and places like Evolution Valley — the background of this piece. It was the end of the day, and we camped on flat rocks just 500 feet below the summit. Watching the sunset cast a triangle shadow across the east side was unforgettable.
Nowadays, we see it from the east when camping in the Alabama Hills — its most recognizable, famous side. This pendant’s design comes from my own drawing, inspired by a photo from that view.
